Tervetuloa (Welcome)!
Who We Are:
Sauna and cold plunge have been utilized by humans all over the world for thousands of years to aid in recovery, and to create a serene, community-driven space to truly rest and unplug.
We’re Charlotte and Gavin, and we caught the contrast therapy bug a few years ago. We found ourselves consistently drawn back to it, and chasing it everywhere we went... at home here in Pittsburgh and in our travels.
Our step into this space represents a simple mission: to be stewards of contrast in a unique, accessible way, in Pittsburgh and beyond!
Our Current Offerings:
-
When we’re not at Ineffable, we’re likely at a private event of some kind. We can be slotted in as a unique add-on in a variety of situations, and have so far have had the pleasure to be part of yoga classes, apartment alternative happy hours, sports complex events, dance parties, brunches, book clubs, etc.
We are open to most possibilities for private events and take inquiries for any/ all private events ideas that may not be listed above. Fill out the form here!
-

Renovo Wellness Club x Ineffable Cà Phê
-
Ineffable Cà Phê has steadily grown a reputation that is succinct and powerful: it’s where you go when you have time to slow down, take a breath, and enjoy something that feels distinctly worth slowing down for.
At Renovo Wellness Club - we aim to embody the traits that result in earning a similar prestigious reputation around Pittsburgh; just with a different (but complementary) offering.
Imagine waking up on a Sunday morning, making your usual, peaceful walk to Ineffable - and being able to take a quick recovery session in the sauna before (or while!) sipping on your favorite coffee or tea - heading home feeling that much more recharged; and not being able to wait to do it all again next Sunday.
That is our shared vision with Ineffable - likeminded business owners that appreciate all things that are high-quality and authentic, coming together to create a unique, harmonious, unforgettable experience that’s unparalleled in Lawrenceville, the East End, and all of Pittsburgh.
-
We have two options. You can either book a community session or a private session at the caphe.
Community sessions are on Sundays and we charge $1 per minute.
Private sessions are whenever we are not mobile, usually weeknights, and guarantee you the whole sauna for an hour, $30/per person.
Whichever you pick, we will be onsite the whole time to greet you, show you around, and answer any questions you may have.
-
We recommend wearing athletic clothes or a bathing suit under your normal clothes. We have changing rooms and bins in the sauna for your keys, jackets, etc.
Please come hydrated!
-
Renovo is a community for those focused on their own wellness - whether as a new challenge; scheduled, intentional recovery from a demanding life; pure relaxation; or any “why” in between.
We strive to break down the perception that recovering via contrast therapy must be a luxury experience, as it’s typically marketed in the States, and to align more closely with its roots; an accessible, affordable, elevated recovery and community experience for all.
Each day we and our members & guests strive to make our corner of the world healthier, happier, and more united.

Every time you sauna or cold plunge, please enjoy 10% your order at the caphe. Coffee is welcome in the sauna, just please use our coasters and be respectful.
Frequently Asked Questions
How Participants Should Prepare:
Clothing:
Anything that you’re willing to sweat and or get wet in. We recommend athleisure (shorts, t-shirts, tank tops, sports bras, etc). Men may remove their shirts; we are not a nude sauna; please dress appropriately.
No shoes are allowed in the sauna. Participants can (1) remove them on our outside turf area or (2) remove them immediately upon entering the sauna on the towels / mats that we have set up.
Accessories:
Participants should bring a towel of their own. We do have a limited number of towels to provide just in case; these towels are RWC branded and can be purchased upon request.
We highly recommend bringing a water bottle.
We recommend removing jewelry prior to entering the sauna.
Phones and headphones are typically okay - participants should not be surprised if they see an overheat warning message on their phone if staying in the sauna for 25+ minutes at a time. Simply set the phone outside the sauna if this occurs. We have a lockbox for your phones right outside for your convenience.
Etiquette:
Participants must sign a liability waiver before entering the sauna and/or cold plunge.
If you’re planning on a quiet experience, we highly recommend bringing ear plugs, headphones, and eye mask (optional). We find that the sauna can be a wonderful opportunity to meet people and chat quietly.
Make room for your peers. Participants may stretch out, lay down, etc. - but as the sauna fills up, please be mindful of the space you’re using and work together to make it comfortable for everyone.
Participants may use the water bucket and ladle to generate steam by ladling water into the hot rocks on top of the stove. We recommend consulting with the group you’re in the sauna with before doing this.
Beginners should stay in the sauna for no longer than 15 minutes at a time. & no more than 1-3 minutes in the cold plunge - more experienced participants can stay in for longer rounds. A short break (5-10 minutes + some water) is enough time between rounds. The highest number of rounds we recommend is 3.
No smoking or alcohol in the sauna. If you have consumed alcohol prior to your session, you enter the sauna at your own risk (this is noted in the liability release).
